JD.com has officially launched its JoyRobocare robot repair service in Europe, strategically setting up repair hubs in Bedford, UK, and Duisburg, Germany, along with other key locations. This innovative service offers prompt on-site support akin to a 'robot ambulance', extending its reach to major cities throughout the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and additional countries. Focusing primarily on embodied AI robots and quadrupedal robots, the service encompasses on-site delivery, troubleshooting, configuration, and comprehensive usage guidance.

The initiative is designed to significantly reduce maintenance and after-sales expenses for both businesses and consumers. By enhancing the efficiency of the global robot supply chain logistics and after-sales network, it aims to bolster the international expansion of robotics companies. To achieve this, JD.com is leveraging local repair expertise in Europe, fostering versatile service skills among its overseas workforce, and bringing in top-tier domestic repair engineers for technical mentorship.

Presently, JD.com boasts multiple repair centers across China, staffed by thousands of skilled robot repair engineers. Looking ahead, the company has ambitious plans to train 100,000 engineers over the next five years. This expansive training program is set to comprehensively cover after-sales repair services for robots, smart home devices, and a wide array of other tech products.
