In May 2026, the domestic mobile phone market witnessed shipments totaling 27.639 million units, representing a significant year-on-year (YoY) growth of 16.5%. Notably, 5G smartphone shipments surged to 26.224 million units, achieving a remarkable 23.8% YoY increase and constituting 94.9% of the total shipments. Meanwhile, shipments from domestic brands reached 23.970 million units, up by 25.0% YoY, making up 86.7% of the market share. Smartphone shipments, in general, climbed to 26.804 million units, marking a 19.0% YoY rise and accounting for 97.0% of the total. For the period from January to May, cumulative shipments in the domestic mobile phone market amounted to 114 million units, experiencing a slight 3.6% YoY decrease. However, 5G smartphone shipments during this period reached 106 million units, up by 4.2% YoY, and represented 93.2% of the total shipments.
