On June 19, 2026, a counterfeit RTX 4090 graphics card surfaced in China's second-hand electronics market. This fake card boasted a plastic-made GPU core (mimicking the real one) and utilized scrapped memory chips. According to demonstrations by technicians, a buyer snapped up a second-hand graphics card labeled as a 'defective RTX 4090' for 1500 yuan. However, upon disassembling the card, they found that the AD102-300-A1 core marking on the PCB board was clearly flawed. The date code '30' suggested a production year of 2030, which clashed with the RTX 4090's actual release date in 2022. Furthermore, the card was missing the original factory QR code, its components were arranged abnormally, and the central GPU area was nothing more than a plastic block adorned with fake markings. The memory chips were also all discarded and non-functional, making the entire card useless for any real computation or graphics processing tasks.
