On May 25, 2026, the General Office of the People's Government of Anhui Province rolled out the 'Action Plan for Expanding Low-Altitude Plus Application Scenarios in Anhui Province (2026-2028)'. This comprehensive document delineates the development objectives, pivotal tasks, and concrete implementation strategies for the low-altitude economy over the ensuing three-year period. According to the plan, by 2028, Anhui Province aims to achieve an impressive 5 million annual low-altitude flight hours, attracting over 300 low-altitude operation enterprises and establishing a cumulative total of 100 low-altitude application demonstration scenarios. This will pave the way for a development model that is not only safe and commercially viable but also widely embraced by the public.
The plan meticulously outlines key tasks across various sectors, including agricultural and forestry operations, inspection services, surveying and mapping, logistics development, and transportation services. It sets forth specific quantitative targets, such as maintaining an inventory of over 45,000 agricultural drones, achieving 1,000 annual flight hours for aerial forest protection, and launching three demonstration cargo routes for heavy-lift drones. Concurrently, the plan underscores the importance of bolstering operational safety oversight and instituting a robust support framework for low-altitude flights, thereby ensuring the robust and orderly progression of the low-altitude economy.
