Snap Inc. unveiled SPECS today, a pair of transparent augmented reality glasses now available for pre-order at a price of $2,195, with an initial launch expected in the U.S., UK, and France this fall. SPECS are crafted from high-performance Swiss TR90 polymer material, weighing just 132 to 136 grams, and cater to various vision prescription needs. They feature silicon-based liquid crystal display technology with a 51-degree field of view, capable of rendering 16 million colors for a clear and smooth visual experience. SPECS are also equipped with two Snapdragon processors, enabling high-speed gesture tracking and low-latency interactions. They offer up to 4 hours of continuous use on a single charge, with the charging case providing four additional charges for a total of up to 20 hours of battery life.
