On the eve of the 2026 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2026), Apple disclosed the installation rate statistics for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. According to the data, as of February 12, 2026, a notable 74% of iPhones launched within the last four years have transitioned to iOS 26, whereas the upgrade rate across all iPhone models stands at 66%. Turning to iPads, 66% of those released in the past four years are now operating on iPadOS 26, with the overall upgrade rate for all iPad devices reaching 57%. When juxtaposed with the iOS 18 installation data from January 2025, the adoption rate of iOS 26 exhibits a slightly sluggish pace; however, the variance is less pronounced than initially forecasted.
