On June 8 (local time), during the WWDC26 Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple introduced a fresh iteration of macOS, dubbed macOS Golden Gate. This new version is characterized by more fluid system animations and a marked enhancement in functional speeds. In particular, the startup time for iPhone and iPad applications has seen a boost of up to 30%. Furthermore, the system's content loading, photo gallery presentation, and AirDrop transfer rates have all experienced acceleration, with cloud drive transfer speeds soaring by a factor of five. Moreover, the updated system incorporates a transparency slider, empowering users to tailor the transparency levels of essential interface components like window edges, menu bars, and the Dock. This new system is compatible with all iPhone models that support iOS26.
