On June 8, reports emerged highlighting the pivotal role of power systems in enabling flying cars to achieve safe, long-distance, and cost-effective flights. At present, solid-state battery technology is being integrated into flying cars, propelling their industrialization forward. In the realm of battery manufacturing, solid-state batteries employ solid electrolytes as a substitute for conventional liquid electrolytes, thereby adhering to the stringent airworthiness standards for high safety that flying cars demand. Flying cars outfitted with high-energy solid-state batteries have triumphantly traversed the Qiongzhou Strait. Looking ahead, enhancing battery longevity will be paramount in boosting flight efficiency. Presently, the majority of flying cars still rely on liquid lithium-ion batteries, whereas solid-state batteries are making a swift transition from the laboratory to mass production.
