Detailed, high-resolution images of the mock-up for Apple’s much-anticipated foldable iPhone (dubbed the iPhone Fold) have surfaced, showcasing a nearly finalized exterior design that may debut exclusively in white. This mock-up is intended primarily for offline promotional displays and to guide accessory manufacturers in product development. Compared to previous leaks, these images offer richer detail and align closely with ongoing design rumors. The device features a clamshell-style form factor with a 4:3 screen ratio, incorporating a 5.5-inch external display and a 7.8-inch OLED internal screen. When unfolded, its dimensions are slightly smaller than those of the iPad mini. The frame is constructed from an ultra-thin 4.5mm titanium alloy, with the volume buttons relocated to the top edge. Notably, the customizable function button has been omitted, replaced by Touch ID integration. The rear design includes a horizontally aligned dual-camera module with a pronounced protrusion. The external screen boasts a full-screen design with a subtle curve, while the flash is positioned beneath the rear microphone within the camera housing. The rear microphone features a seven-hole array, and the front-facing camera on the internal screen is located in the top-left corner.
Apple has a history of launching select high-end products in a single color variant initially, with additional hues introduced in subsequent releases. Industry analysts predict that the iPhone Fold will debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September 2026, with pricing expected to start above $2,000.
