On June 2, market research firm UBI Research revised downward its projection for the global demand for OLED luminescent materials in 2026. According to current estimates, OLED panel manufacturers worldwide are expected to spend US$2.54 billion on procuring luminescent materials this year, marking a 12.8% decline from the initial forecast of US$2.91 billion made in the first quarter. The surge in memory prices has dampened smartphone sales, subsequently causing a drop in OLED panel shipments and, consequently, a reduction in the procurement volume of OLED luminescent materials.
