Despite this downturn, Apple's MacBook Neo has emerged as a notable exception, exerting additional pressure on traditional PC manufacturers. According to projections by market research firm IDC, the PC market is set to experience further decline this year, with shipments in the fourth quarter of 2026 possibly plummeting by 20% compared to the same period last year. The escalating costs of memory are constraining the product supply capabilities of complete machine manufacturers (also known as system integrators), making it challenging for them to sustain a diverse array of product lines across different price brackets and configurations.
