On December 31st, news emerged that the General Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government has recently promulgated the Interim Measures for the Flight Safety Management of Civil Unmanned Aircraft in Shanghai. In line with these measures, owners and operators of civil unmanned aircraft are mandated to carry out real-name registration, adhering to the Interim Regulations on the Flight Management of Unmanned Aircraft and the Measures for the Implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Law of the People's Republic of China in Shanghai. Additionally, the measures explicitly outline that individuals involved in commercial flight operations or those utilizing small, medium, or large civil unmanned aircraft for non-commercial flight activities are required to purchase liability insurance as per legal requirements.
