Recently, a number of iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max users have encountered an unexpected problem. While their devices are charging, the speakers emit hissing or static noises, reminiscent of the sounds produced by an old-fashioned radio. For some users, the noise persists even when they turn down the volume while audio is playing, and it's clearly audible even when the device is just sitting idle. Moreover, a low, crackling sound can be heard when scrolling through webpages during the charging process. On December 31, Apple's customer service team acknowledged that they had received reports of this issue. They advised users to navigate to the Settings menu, select 'Battery,' then 'Charging,' and adjust the charging limit to either 80% or 85%. Some users who followed this advice reported that the electrical noise ceased. If the noise is particularly bothersome, it's recommended to take the device to an offline store for a thorough inspection.
