According to the official website of the Ministry of Commerce, on December 19, Li Chenggang, who serves as both the Representative for International Trade Negotiations and the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, had a meeting with Sabih Khan, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Apple Inc. (USA). During the meeting, the two sides engaged in a fruitful exchange of views regarding the growth of Apple's business operations in China.

Li Chenggang emphasized that the collaboration between Apple and the Chinese market represents a journey of mutual accomplishment and shared prosperity. He highlighted that, throughout China's 15th Five-Year Plan period, the nation is set to further widen its high-standard opening-up to the global community. This strategic move is anticipated to create a wealth of development prospects for foreign-invested companies, including Apple.

Li Chenggang expressed his hope that Apple would persist in deepening its engagement within the Chinese market, thereby fostering common growth and success. In response, Sabih Khan reiterated Apple's unwavering commitment to its long-term development endeavors in China. He outlined plans to amplify investments in critical areas such as the supply chain, research and development, as well as social welfare initiatives.
