As reported by MacRumors, word has spread far and wide that Apple is in the process of developing its inaugural foldable iPhone. However, a recent report brings to light that this eagerly anticipated product, initially slated for a fall 2026 launch, is now grappling with production hurdles. Tianfeng Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that the development timeline for the foldable iPhone is running behind. While it's still projected to hit the market in the latter half of 2026, the initial production output is disappointingly low, and scaling up production capacity is proving to be a formidable challenge. This could potentially push actual shipments back to 2027. Additionally, given the high level of demand and constrained supply, the shortage situation is likely to linger until the close of 2026.
