On December 19, 2025, a number of AirPods Pro 3 users reported that despite upgrading to Apple's latest December firmware version 8B30, the earphones continued to generate noise akin to static electricity, along with popping sounds and intermittent high-frequency squeals when the active noise cancellation (ANC) feature was activated. This issue first came to light in October. In response, Apple rolled out firmware updates in both November and December; however, none of these updates have fully resolved the problem. Users have noted that the noise still lingers after the updates. Moreover, some users have encountered audio delays and desynchronization between audio and video when streaming videos. Even after replacing their devices, the issue persists. As of now, Apple has yet to offer a clear technical explanation or an effective solution to this problem.
