Recently, the blogger known as 'Map Detective' has brought to light numerous cases of unauthorized drone operations. These drones have been observed flying at altitudes as high as 8,000 meters, encroaching upon the flight corridors of civil aviation aircraft and thereby posing a significant threat to aviation security. In response, Hong Kong artist Waise Lee has posted a video in which he vehemently denounces these reckless acts, emphasizing the potential for catastrophic outcomes on congested air routes. He has also taken to social media to alert public security and cyber police departments across various regions about these incidents.
According to the blogger, there has been a surge in anomalous drone flights in recent times, particularly in regions such as Yingde and Zhongshan in Guangdong Province, as well as Zixing in Hunan Province. In a bid to circumvent regulations, some drone operators have gone as far as forging official DJI unlocking permits. DJI's customer service has clarified that any drone flight exceeding an altitude of 120 meters necessitates prior reporting and approval, with each approved application being assigned a unique tracking code for monitoring purposes. At present, law enforcement agencies in Yingde, Zhongshan, and other areas of Guangdong Province have initiated investigations into these matters.
