Foxconn Subsidiary Aims to Scale Up Production in Vietnam

On December 3, 2025, corporate filings submitted to the environmental authority of Bac Ninh Province in Vietnam disclosed that Fushan Technology, a subsidiary of Foxconn, is seeking approval to expand its production operations in the country. The proposed expansion includes the addition of production lines dedicated to manufacturing Xbox gaming consoles and electronic components. Moreover, the company intends to boost its annual mobile phone production capacity by 30 million units, bringing the total to 140 million units. Additionally, it plans to commence production of smart ring charging devices.

The facility in question, which initially served as a production hub for Nokia and Microsoft mobile devices, currently boasts an annual production capacity of 100,000 drones. With the anticipated upgrades and renovations, the factory is expected to reach full operational capacity by April 2026.

As of 2024, Foxconn's cumulative investment in Vietnam has surpassed $3.2 billion, with the majority of these funds being channeled into Bac Ninh Province and Bac Giang Province.
