Sources close to the development have revealed that Google embarked on two AI glasses projects at the close of the previous year. These initiatives have now advanced to the POC (Proof of Concept, a stage involving small-scale trial production) phase. During this phase, meticulous work is being carried out on component selection and ID (Industrial Design) design.
For the hardware of Google's AI glasses, Foxconn has been entrusted with the manufacturing task. Samsung is contributing by providing reference designs, while Qualcomm is supplying the essential chips. Moreover, Google has recently initiated contact with Chinese suppliers like Goertek. There is anticipation that these AI glasses could be released as early as the fourth quarter of 2026.
