Beyond the head-mounted displays that are already available in the market, Samsung is vigorously working on smart glasses, which are potentially set to hit the shelves in 2026. Foreign media outlets have divulged that Samsung's XR/AR glasses product, internally codenamed SM-O200P, will incorporate photochromic lenses. These lenses have the remarkable ability to automatically modify their color in response to varying light intensities. Additionally, the glasses are anticipated to come with a built-in camera, along with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. However, they won't be compatible with mobile data networks. It's still up in the air whether they'll be outfitted with a display. As for the hardware, they might leverage mainstream AI glasses solutions, like the Snapdragon AR1 chip and the Sony IMX681 camera.
