On October 23, it was reported that Shenzhen has recently emerged as a national leader by being the first to publish the Monthly Operation and Development Report on Functional Unmanned Vehicles. According to the report, in September, the monthly order volume for functional unmanned vehicles in Shenzhen surpassed one million for the inaugural time. There was also a 14.5% month-on-month surge in their commercial value, signaling that Shenzhen's smart logistics sector has accelerated into the fast lane.

As of September, Shenzhen had designated 1,257 road rights routes for functional unmanned vehicles, spanning a total distance of 3,581 kilometers. In September alone, 19 new routes were introduced, covering an additional 396 kilometers, further expediting the deployment of unmanned vehicles. During the same month, the total operational mileage of functional unmanned vehicles in Shenzhen reached 200,000 kilometers, marking a 21% month-on-month increase. A cumulative total of 1.02 million deliveries were accomplished, representing a 13% month-on-month rise. The fleet of operational vehicles expanded to 798, with 32 new additions month-on-month. These primarily consisted of unmanned logistics vehicles, unmanned sanitation vehicles, and unmanned inspection vehicles. Among them, unmanned logistics vehicles constituted the largest portion, totaling 432 units, or over 54% of the entire fleet.
