Since joining Honor, former Huawei Terminal Chief Camera Engineer Luo Wei has found himself at the center of multiple controversies. Previously, he stirred debate by criticizing Huawei’s Pura80 for its “dual-lens in one mirror” design, which he dismissed as flashy yet impractical, and by accusing vivo of copying its imaging technology. Recently, Luo Wei posted a nighttime scene photo taken with the Honor Magic8 Pro on Weibo, emphasizing its 15-second handheld light trail shutter feature. However, the photo’s quality quickly drew criticism from netizens. In response, Luo Wei publicly insulted them, saying, “Seems like the idiots are back at it again.” This remark sparked widespread outrage, with many netizens calling on Honor CEO Li Jian to step in and address the situation. As of now, Honor has not issued an official response to the incident.
