Instagram tech blogger marcustechnology conducted a comparative test video to shed light on this issue. According to his findings, when using the iPhone 17 Pro to capture close-up shots, shadows akin to those produced by a 'corner light source' emerge around the subject. In contrast, the iPhone 13, which was tested concurrently, did not display a similar occurrence. Nevertheless, it's worth noting that this problem is more prominent in scenarios with short shooting distances and simple backgrounds. In everyday usage, such an issue may not arise frequently.
