On October 4th, local time, interior ministers hailing from several European countries, along with the European Commissioner for Migration Affairs, gathered in Munich, Germany. Their primary agenda was to discuss strategies for bolstering drone defense across Europe. In recent times, the appearance of unidentified drones in multiple European nations has sparked significant security apprehensions.
German Interior Minister de Maizière announced that Germany is set to establish a specialized drone defense center. Furthermore, there are plans to potentially revise existing laws, paving the way for the German military to have the authority to neutralize intruding drones. In addition to these measures, Germany is actively participating in the EU's envisioned 'Drone Wall' initiative. This project aims to substantially enhance Europe's overall capacity to defend against drone threats.
