On August 22, Hubei province witnessed a historic milestone with the successful completion of its first cross-city drone logistics route. This pioneering flight traversed a distance of approximately 50 kilometers, linking Hanzheng Street in Wuhan to the Central China Down Jacket Smart Industrial Park in Hanchuan, Xiaogan, in a remarkable 35 minutes. The journey was facilitated by a state-of-the-art vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing drone, capable of carrying payloads ranging from 3 to 5 kilograms. The entire operation was meticulously overseen by a licensed pilot and fortified with multiple safety redundancy measures to guarantee the highest standards of aerial safety. This achievement marks a new benchmark for the longest drone logistics flight distance recorded within Hubei province.
