Marking the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, China and EU leaders issued a joint statement underscoring the significance of bolstering cooperation on climate change. Both parties pledged to uphold multilateralism, advance the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement objectives, and foster a green transition. They concurred to intensify cooperation in domains such as energy transition, climate adaptation, and carbon markets, with the aim of submitting economy-wide nationally determined contributions by 2025 for the year 2035, in support of global sustainable development and a just transition.
