On July 23, Reuters reported that Apple's modifications to its App Store regulations and commission fees might secure approval from European Union antitrust regulators, potentially averting daily fines of up to €50 million. Apple has overhauled its fee structure, cutting the standard commission to 20%, offering a reduced rate of 13% for small and micro-enterprises, and introducing external payment options with a fee ranging from 5% to 15%. Previously, Apple faced a €500 million penalty for breaching the Digital Markets Act.
