The floating PV project situated in a full seawater environment at Sinopec Qingdao Refinery has been successfully completed and commenced operations, marking it as China's pioneering floating PV initiative operating within an industrial sector in a full seawater setting. This innovative project, which integrates pile-foundation water surface PV technology, forms Sinopec's largest water surface PV power station. With an annual power generation capacity of 16.7 million kWh and a carbon reduction of 14,000 tons per year, equivalent to planting 750,000 trees, it exemplifies a substantial demonstration of environmental stewardship and sustainability.
