On October 26, the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) officially announced that China’s largest-scale semi-physical simulation platform for power supply systems in the fusion sector has commenced trial operations and successfully passed its final acceptance, demonstrating world-leading comprehensive performance. This milestone signifies that China has established a complete technical chain for fusion power supply systems, encompassing algorithm development, simulation verification, and equipment deployment. Leveraging a fully independent real-time simulation architecture, the platform achieves a core solution step size of up to 0.8 microseconds, despite managing over ten thousand model switches. Following thorough evaluations by experts, the platform’s hardware and software have both met the required standards, and the system has been constructed to a high standard of quality.
