At the 27th Satellite Applications Conference, the Joint Innovation Plan for Industry-University-Research Collaboration in Satellite Internet was officially launched, with nearly 60 universities, research institutes, and enterprises participating in the initial phase. The plan will focus on multi-faceted cooperation in satellite internet, such as co-developing curricula, cultivating students' engineering capabilities, reserving industry talents through practical training, and supporting enterprise technological development by providing open testing conditions. The research directions cover six areas, including satellite-computing collaboration and space computing power, direct satellite connectivity for mobile phones, 6G non-terrestrial networks, and inter-satellite laser communication.
