On October 15, during a press conference hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Government, Zhang Xin, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Transport Commission, announced that Shanghai is stepping up efforts to establish itself as a global hub for the certification, trading, and bunkering of green fuels for international shipping. China’s domestically developed international certification system for green marine fuels has been officially rolled out in Shanghai. Furthermore, green methanol bunkering services now span the main operational areas of the Shanghai Port, creating a fully integrated local supply chain that encompasses production, storage, and bunkering. In addition, the scale of LNG bunkering operations at Shanghai Port has achieved a global top-tier standing.
