The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced that it will undertake the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) concerning a proposal put forth by SpaceX. According to this proposal, SpaceX envisions carrying out a staggering number of up to 456 launches and 912 recovery landings each year at its Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas. In stark contrast, at present, SpaceX has received approval for a mere 25 launches and 50 landings per annum.
