On September 17, 2026, Snap officially launched its new generation of AR smart glasses, SPECS, in Los Angeles, priced starting at $2,195. Available in a black version and two sizes, the glasses weigh 132 grams and 136 grams, respectively. Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Snap's proprietary Snap OS system, the glasses support six-degree-of-freedom tracking, hand tracking, and scene understanding. They offer approximately 4 hours of mixed-use battery life, extendable to 20 hours with the charging case. Additionally, Snap introduced the AI application SPECS Intelligence, which operates across iPhone, Mac, and SPECS, providing proactive assistance. Furthermore, Snap announced multiple collaborations with companies such as HBO Max, Spotify, NBA, WNBA, and Tripadvisor, and launched the SPECS cellular charging case, which supports networks from major global mobile operators. SPECS will be available in the United States, United Kingdom, and France later this fall.
