A research team led by Sergiu Pașca at Stanford University has published a groundbreaking study in the prestigious journal Nature. The study details the transplantation of human brain organoids—miniature, simplified versions of brain tissue—into the brains of mice that had been genetically engineered to lack cells in key brain regions. Remarkably, the human cells proliferated extensively, eventually occupying nearly half of the mouse's brain volume.
