ARK Invest, under the leadership of 'Wood Sister,' anticipates that each SpaceX Starship launch could rake in roughly $1 billion in yearly revenue. Drawing on Musk's ambitious goal of achieving 10,000 launches annually by 2030, the potential annual revenue could skyrocket to a staggering $10 trillion—a prospect Musk considers not out of the realm of possibility. This forecast is grounded in calculations concerning Starlink bandwidth. Specifically, a single Starship launch is capable of deploying approximately 61 Tbps of bandwidth through V3 satellites, equating to $1 billion in revenue. Despite the likelihood of a decrease in revenue per unit of bandwidth as supply increases, the anticipated overall growth in scale is still expected to propel an uptick in Starlink's revenue.
Currently, SpaceX is slated to carry out the 14th flight mission of the Starship on September 22, which will transport mass-produced V3 satellites. This marks the inaugural revenue-generating flight for the Starship. During this mission, the launch frequency of the Starship, the incremental capacity of Starlink, and its ability to convert this capacity into revenue will undergo real-world testing. Furthermore, the target of 10,000 launches per year is hampered by the manufacturing capacity of the Starship, with the production of the Raptor 3 engine presenting substantial challenges.
