On September 16, 2026, China's first demonstration project featuring 'molten salt energy storage + carbon dioxide power generation,' named 'Ruitan Hao,' officially commenced construction in Yantai, Shandong. As the carrier project for the national major science and technology project 'Key Technology Development and Engineering Demonstration of Carbon Dioxide Thermal Batteries,' the project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2027. It holds significant importance for promoting the large-scale application of new energy storage and the green and low-carbon transformation of energy.
