On September 10, 2026, satellite operator Eutelsat announced the signing of an order for an additional 229 low-Earth orbit satellites with Airbus, with an investment of approximately 1 billion euros to supplement and expand its OneWeb network, extending the roadmap to 2034. Including the 440 Airbus satellites already ordered in 2024 and 2025, the total procurement volume reaches 669, with the first batch of additional satellites expected to begin delivery in the fourth quarter of 2026.
