On August 20 (local time), sources revealed that companies such as SpaceX and AST Spacemobile are planning to acquire some spectrum resources held by technology and communications investment firm Grain Management LLC. These spectrums are crucial for providing wireless phone services directly from space. Grain has requested interested companies to submit preliminary bids by the first week of September, aiming to generate approximately US$6 billion in proceeds from the sale of spectrum licenses, though its plans may also include leasing spectrum capacity. Additionally, reports indicate that there may be other bidders involved.
