Delivery robot company Serve Robotics announced a partnership with food delivery platform Grubhub, launching sidewalk robot delivery services first in three cities: Chicago, Los Angeles, and Alexandria. Previously, Serve Robotics had already collaborated with DoorDash in Washington and San Jose, and planned to establish its first micro-warehouses in Miami, expanding the range of restaurants supported by robot delivery through countertop devices called Beacon. Additionally, Uber has divested its stake in Serve Robotics, which was spun off from Uber itself in 2021, and the two parties may not renew their cooperation agreement. Currently, Serve Robotics has deployed over 2,000 robots across the United States, providing delivery services to more than 4,000 restaurants.
