Recently, the city of Suisun in California, USA (located approximately 55 miles north of San Francisco with a population of around 30,000) was hit by a malware attack, infecting municipal service systems including 911 call routing, police and fire dispatch, and record management. To contain the threat and preserve evidence, the city shut down its entire IT network and declared a state of emergency at a special council meeting the following morning.
