The Tianjin Municipal Department of Industry and Information Technology, along with other relevant departments, has recently unveiled the "Action Plan for the Innovative Development of the Intelligent Robot Industry in Tianjin (2026-2028)". This comprehensive plan outlines a clear vision: by the end of 2028, Tianjin's intelligent robot industry will have established a dual-wheel-driven model, seamlessly integrating "technological innovation" with "scenario-driven approaches". It aims to achieve a regional support rate exceeding 60% within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, maintain an average annual industry output value growth rate of over 15%, and propel the core output value beyond 20 billion yuan. This ambitious goal is underpinned by the formation of a comprehensive industrial ecosystem that encompasses all links and chains within the sector.
To realize this vision, the plan sets forth several key objectives. It envisions the establishment of one intelligent robot innovation consortium, the creation of 1-2 national-level innovation platforms, and the breakthrough of core technologies such as main control chips and operating systems for intelligent robots, ultimately yielding 20 technological products. Simultaneously, it aims to nurture more than three enterprises with an output value exceeding 1 billion yuan and cultivate 20 national-level specialized, refined, and innovative 'little giant' enterprises, recognized for their excellence and innovation in the field.
Furthermore, Tianjin is committed to building an intelligent robot innovation center and an agile manufacturing center. These centers will serve as hubs for innovation and rapid prototyping, fostering a dynamic environment for the industry's growth. Additionally, the plan calls for the creation of numerous demonstration and experience centers, establishing no fewer than 20 real-world training spaces. These initiatives will provide hands-on learning opportunities and facilitate the development of over 100 demonstration application scenarios across various sectors, including industrial manufacturing, special operations, and livelihood services, thereby showcasing the practical applications and potential of intelligent robot technology.
