On August 8 (local time), Musk took to the social media platform X to reveal that the performance of the forthcoming V3 satellites—set to be deployed via SpaceX’s Starship—will mark a tenfold improvement over the V2 satellites, which were launched aboard Falcon rockets. Specifically, he highlighted that the bandwidth capacity of Starlink’s V3 satellites will exceed that of V2 by more than 100 times. Looking ahead, Musk projected that the Starlink system’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) is on track to hit $20 billion this year. Moreover, he emphasized that even if revenue per gigabyte were to plummet tenfold, SpaceX’s communication revenue would still be poised to surpass $200 billion annually.
