This year, China’s robot export sector has continued its robust growth trajectory, marked by an increasingly sophisticated product mix that is injecting fresh momentum into the globalization of high-end manufacturing. According to customs data, domestically produced robots have accelerated their international expansion in the first five months, with total exports reaching 10.377 million units, valued at 19.99 billion yuan. These products have reached over 150 countries and regions, with the European Union (EU) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) emerging as the primary export destinations.

In terms of product segmentation, China’s robot exports have developed a diversified landscape. Cleaning robots lead the charge, with export values hitting 14 billion yuan, accounting for over 70% of the total. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as autonomous navigation, automatic dust collection, and intelligent wastewater circulation systems, domestically produced cleaning robots are finely tuned to overseas living environments, showcasing distinct competitive advantages.

In industrial applications, approximately 70,000 domestically produced industrial robots were exported during the same period, with overseas application scenarios continuing to expand. Handling robots, equipped with visual recognition and intelligent algorithms, are now widely deployed in large-scale overseas infrastructure and transportation projects. Welding robots, featuring automatic scanning and modeling capabilities, can calculate optimal processes in real-time. Collaborative robots, meanwhile, are playing a pivotal role in overseas light manufacturing industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, and daily chemicals.

In cutting-edge emerging fields, exports of intelligent bionic robots surpassed 8,000 units, finding applications in a wide range of scenarios such as equipment inspection, scientific research and education, and public services. Benefiting from the strengths of China’s complete domestic industrial chain, the export scale of domestically produced robots has demonstrated steady and sustainable growth.
