Traditionally, monitoring river environmental pollution depended heavily on manual inspections and fixed-point monitoring stations. These methods offered limited coverage and often resulted in delays in identifying environmental issues. However, with the advent of advanced ecological remote sensing technologies, an integrated, intelligent space-air-ground monitoring system has been widely adopted. This comprehensive system combines space-based satellites, airborne remote sensing platforms, aerial drones, mobile monitoring vehicles, and ground observation equipment to ensure thorough and all-encompassing environmental surveillance.

Recently, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has introduced an integrated space-air-ground satellite evaluation system. This innovative system provides intelligent support for monitoring water environmental pollution and preserving biodiversity, marking a significant step forward in China's environmental protection efforts.
