He Xiaopeng has issued an internal memo, declaring that he will take direct charge of the robotics business. He noted that XPENG's humanoid robot is now at a pivotal juncture, akin to the stage preceding the launch of XPENG Motors' inaugural model, the G3, eight years prior, and is on the brink of attaining mass production and delivery. As per the outlined plan, XPENG aims to commence mass production of humanoid robots in the fourth quarter of 2026, introduce them to offline stores as shopping assistants in the first quarter of 2027, roll them out in overseas markets in the second quarter, and facilitate their integration into more households by 2028.
