A research report released by CITIC Construction Investment Securities highlights a recent surge in overseas orders for domestic gas turbines, accompanied by consistent price hikes throughout the industrial supply chain. Following in the footsteps of industry giants like GE Vernova, which raised gas turbine prices in March, domestic manufacturers are now also witnessing an upward trend in pricing, paving the way for enhanced profitability.

Amidst a year-round focus on power shortages, the gas turbine industrial chain has emerged as a favored sector. Projections indicate that by 2028, global demand for gas turbines will surpass 150 gigawatts (GW), whereas supply is expected to fall short of 100 GW, thereby exacerbating the existing demand-supply gap. This scenario underscores the sustained bullish outlook for the gas turbine industrial chain, as well as the ongoing trend of converting ships to gas-powered propulsion, which remains a promising avenue for growth and investment.
