The Danish pension fund AkademikerPension has removed SpaceX from its investment portfolio, expressing concerns regarding the company’s ‘disastrous governance structure’ and its inflated market valuation. According to the fund’s Chief Investment Officer, Anders Schelde, Elon Musk occupies multiple leadership roles and commands roughly 80% of the voting rights within SpaceX. Schelde further argued that SpaceX’s ambitious valuation target—set at a minimum of $1.8 trillion—is ‘significantly overvalued’ for long-term institutional investors, with the stock currently trading at least 80% above its fair value.
