On May 28 (local time), an explosion erupted during a static ignition test of the 'New Glenn' rocket, which was being carried out by Bezos' aerospace company, Blue Origin, at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The resulting blast was audible up to 15 miles from the site. The root cause of the incident is currently under investigation; however, all personnel involved are reported to be safe and unharmed.
