On the evening of May 27, a fire broke out at the Yunnan base of Yunnan Yutai New Energy Battery Materials Co., Ltd.—a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hunan Yutai—located in Anning, Yunnan Province. The local fire department swiftly responded, extinguishing the visible flames by 9:03 PM. Thankfully, no casualties were reported, though the root cause of the fire remains under active investigation. Notably, this incident marks the second time this year that the company has been officially cited by Yunnan Province's emergency management authorities.
