On Thursday, South Korea-based LG Energy Solution unveiled a significant contract with DTE Energy of the United States. Under this agreement, LG Energy Solution will provide energy storage system (ESS) batteries valued at a staggering $1.6 billion, amounting to a total capacity of 6 gigawatt-hours, over the forthcoming two-year period. DTE Energy, boasting two subsidiaries, caters to the energy needs of 2.3 million and 1.3 million households respectively.
